an Old Man and his Wedding Ring

20 11 2011

This afternoon I went to the bus stop after work. I saw an old man waiting for the bus to Sebaldsbrück, the same bus I take everyday. I often see him on the way to the office or on the way home. He looks like any other industry worker, his backpack, his shoes, his blue uniform, all looks as usual, but I noticed something today. He didn’t wear his gloves so I could see his wedding ring.

It reminded me of how precious to have someone very special in your life. This first person you see every time you wake up, and the person you kiss goodnight. who would be there beside you in the up and down. Sitting in front of computer for hours, talking with different people, analyzing a lot of data, making some experiment can make you dead tired at the end of the day. And I know, his work is much harder than mine. And it would be wonderful to go home and have someone waiting for us at home. wouldn’t it be great to have someone cook us comforting dinner in this cold winter night?

For me, the most romantic love storry is not one of romeo and juliet. It’s theirs, who grow old together. They have successfully surpassed all the problems, the differences, the ego and they still have each other after so long. Isn’t that romantic?

The Beauty of Autumn

20 11 2011

The leaves were all turned gold and fell. The fog comes more often at night and dawn. If we’re lucky, the sun would shine and erase the gray color. The winter is coming closer. luckily, I captured the beauty of autumn last month.
